We have lots of haunted happenings for October 2024! Tickets will go on sale in September.

Talking to the Dead: The Victorian Séance

Historic Pensacola invites you to the fourth annual Talking to the Dead: The Victorian Seance. This year the séance kicks off our monthlong haunted happenings. Learn about the fascination, history and theatrics of spiritualism and the Victorian séance. Our living history department will share the origins of All Hallow's Eve and the rise of spiritualism in the Victorian era into the 1920s and demonstrate the theatrics common in a Victorian séance.

Spirits of the Simpson House

October 11 and 12, 2024

Simpson Homestead, 4755 Anna Simpson Rd, Milton, FL

Limited to 10 people each session.

Join us for a spooky evening of history and hauntings at the Arcadia Homestead Site located at 4755 Anna Simpson Road in Milton. Guests will be given a guided tour of the historic Simpson House to learn about the Simpson family and life in the 1930's. Hear ghost stories around an old camp fire as you  wait for your tour. 

This event is limited to 10 people maximum per tour time. The tour is family-friendly, but it will be spooky. The area will be dark but parking attendants will be present to assist with navigating the site.

Boo on the Boardwalk

October 18, 2024

Arcadia Mill Archaeological Site,

Please join us for a spooky lantern tour along the Arcadia Mill Boardwalk. Please be mindful of these: 

  • No animals are permitted at this event, with the exception of service animals
  • Strollers are permitted, but we will ask that you park them in the cul-de-sac with an attendant for the boardwalk tour portion
  • There will be refreshments and a kids activity in the the Visitor's Center between 5:15 and 7:45. Refreshments include cookies, cider, water and individually wrapped Halloween candy. Please be aware of food allergies and the likelihood of peanut products.
  • The tour will be approximately 30 to 45 minutes.
  • Restrooms are available in the Visitor's Center before and after the tours.
  • We will have staff directing people where to park. We will fill up our grassy parking area along Mill Pond Lane before placing cars in the cul-de-sace with the exception of handicap parking which is available at the Visitor's Center and/or the cul-de-sac.
  • The tour will be an historical tour of the site by lantern light with added ghost stories unique to Arcadia. There will be no theatrics with people jumping out, etc. These are ghost stories.

Please note these are ghost stories. These are not haunted houses. There are no theatrics. We do not enter any buildings.
